Another one bites the dust

well, not another one really, but BSE is at least one example of a new (equity) etrading venue being switched off because it couldn’t attract market share.

    10 out of 10 for honesty and a smart move to end it. Too many of these ventures hang around for too long after they’re clearly not going to make it. All they do is chew up limited (and getting more limited) resource.

  2. efn quotes Joseph Rizello CEO of National Stock Exchange as saying BSE is the turning point, and that a year from now he is convinced there will be fewer equity exchanges; with the smaller venues only able to hang on if they provide innovative solutions.
